Asynchronous Instructional Management Instructional Management for Open Entry/Open Exit Learning |
||||
| The AIM system supports Open Entry/Open Exit instruction by applying and managing asynchronous learning processes. Processes integrated into the AIM system have been applied and refined at select community colleges for over ten years resulting in typical completion rates of 70%. | What
users are saying:
"...an excellent tool because of the learning contracts and subsequent communication." - Sean Quinn, Lansing Community College "Success rates increased to 70% for self-paced and 77% for on-line self-paced for Fall 04." - Keith Kelly, Northwestern Michigan College |
||||
| Learning centers incorporating self-directed learning, such as Open Entry/Open Exit, realize that few students have experienced learner-centered instruction. Successful instruction must expand to facilitate not only instructional content, but the instructional process as well. The AIM system supports a variety of OE/OE processes including orientation, grading, attendance, and--most importantly--interventions. | |||||

| While the AIM system provides a "turn-key" solution for those new to open-entry/open-exit instruction, it can also support existing OE/OE implementations due to its flexibility. Many modifications to the system are available through configuration options. Additional custom features or support utilities beyond the scope of the AIM application are also provided by K2 Controls. | |||||
